Why Alabama can cover

Alabama has a dangerous, all-purpose running back in Jahmyr Gibbs. A transfer from Georgia Tech, Gibbs ranks third in the conference in all-purpose yards per game (113.0). He has proven to be the team's most reliable receiving threat so far this season, with 17 receptions (best on the team) for 187 yards and three touchdowns (both second on the team). He also ranks second on the team in rushing yards per game (43.0).

In addition, the Crimson Tide have the defense to slow Arkansas' running game. Led by reigning Bronko Nagurski Trophy winner Will Anderson Jr., the unit is allowing just 62.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks fourth in the country. Last week Alabama gave up just 14 rushing yards to Vanderbilt.

Why Arkansas can cover

Arkansas has a physical running attack. The Razorbacks average 243.8 rushing yards per game, which ranks second in the SEC and ninth in the country. The ground game is led by sophomore running back Raheim Sanders, who ranks fourth in the nation in rushing yards per game (127.0). Jefferson is second on the team in rushing, at 68.5 yards per game.

In addition, Arkansas has the potential to get pressure when Alabama drops back to pass. Led by former Crimson Tide linebacker Drew Sanders (who has 5.5 sacks this season), the Razorbacks lead the nation in sacks per game (5.0). Eight different players have recorded at least one sack this season.
