Meanwhile the Sens are leaking goals in back-to-back losses, have lost four of their last five away, and GK Linus Ullmark returns to active duty tonight for the first time since December 27.     Analysis

    Buffalo will play its third game in four days, and a back-to-back is one of the most difficult situational challenges in the NHL. The absence of Josh Norris further weakens Buffalo’s center depth. This is a prime "scheduled win" opportunity for Nashville: they are rested, playing at home, and facing a depleted Buffalo squad that will be fatigued after chasing the puck against Carolina on Monday. Nashville ranks 6th in face-off win percentage, while Buffalo sits at 32nd. The Predators also welcome back Jonathan Marchessault, who has tallied 554 points in 745 career games. Nashville returns home after conceding 7 goals in Vegas. The Predators have defeated the Avalanche twice this season—a feat that few teams have managed even once against Colorado.

    Analysis

    I subscribe to the motto “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” I’m 4-0 betting Missouri games and the Tigers are a perfect 11-0 at home this season. Missouri returns home after a loss at LSU and I think it’s another good spot to back the Tigers. Georgia has struggled to shoot the ball in SEC play and now faces a Missouri defense that ranks No. 1 in two-point field goal percentage. Meanwhile, the Tigers dominate near the rim with Mark Mitchell, one of the best dribble drive guards in CBB. Foul shooting is always a concern with Missouri but I like their defense to get enough stops in the second half. I took Missouri ML -115 (Bet365). Bet ML or spread up to -2.5.

    Analysis

    When I make my Same Game Parlays closer to Sunday, I’ll probably buy this number up a few points just to be safe. That’s always a betting philosophy I advise with SGPs. Regardless, with two excellent defenses and Denver starting a backup quarterback, I just can’t see this one turning into a Broncos-Bills type of shootout. I would’ve probably leaned Denver at home with a healthy Bo Nix, but it’s hard to imagine Jarrett Stidham pulling a Jeff Hostetler (see the 1990 Giants) and leading his team to the Super Bowl. Both of these teams have skated by with relatively easy schedules this season. This time, the Nix injury benefits New England significantly. Patriots 21, Broncos 13.

    Analysis

    The Patriots defense has run roughshod over a pair of offenses with major injury concerns the last two weeks, and they'll get another with Jarrett Stidham at QB. Playcaller Zak Kuhr is in his bag, completely outmaneuvering the Chargers and Texans, and Stidham faces an uphill battle to score points. Drake Maye's offense has struggled with turnovers against two top-tier defenses and gets another here, and the margin between the Broncos and second place in sacks was more than the gap between No. 2 and 9. Maybe another defensive score ruins this Under like it did last week in Texans-Pats, but I have to back it above the key number of 41.
