June 8, 2002 ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Shannon Johnson scored 11 of her career-high 35 points in the third overtime as the Orlando Miracle outlasted the Cleveland Rockers, 103-99. Orlando's Jessie Hicks opened the third extra session with a basket and Johnson scored with 3:41 remaining as the Miracle opened up a 90-86 advantage. The Rockers' Penny Taylor nailed a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to one 3-0 seconds later. The Miracle got a layup by Brooke Wyckoff and a 3-pointer from Johnson for a 95-89 cushion with 1:52 remaining. Johnson scored six points in the final 20 seconds to seal the victory. Merlakia Jones missed a chance to win for Cleveland at the end of the first overtime while Johnson did the same for Orlando in the second extra session. Johnson slammed her hand on the scorer's table after her miss. Hicks finished with a career-high 18 points off the bench on 7-of-9 shooting. Cleveland took a 71-68 lead on two free throws by Jones with 20 seconds left in regulation. The Miracle answered when Adrienne Johnson made 1-of-2 at the line, Orlando grabbed the offensive rebound and Katie Douglass scored to tie the game with 11 seconds to go.
