PARIS (AP) -Jeremy Clement scored a second-half winning goal Saturday to give Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 victory over Auxerre in the French league.
Clement headed home in the 67th minute after receiving a cross from the right flank by Brazilian fullback Marcos Ceara.
Auxerre has 26 points from 14 matches but Bordeaux or Lyon, both trailing by just a point, could go top Sunday when defending champion Bordeaux faces Nancy while Lyon hosts Rennes.
PSG snapped Auxerre's seven-game winning streak to move closer to the middle of the standings with 19 points from 13 matches.
The victory came at a high cost as goalkeeper Gregory Coupet was carried off on a stretcher in the 85th after injuring his leg.
"I fear that it's going to be complicated for Gregory," PSG coach Antoine Kombouare told Europe 1 radio. "I'm happy about the victory but it has been spoilt tonight because we've lost a great goalkeeper and a leader."

Lorient is level on points with Bordeaux and Lyon.
In Lens, Brazilian striker Eduardo gave the home team the victory with a header in the last minute of stoppage time after Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda had stopped a penalty from Yohan Demont after Garry Bocaly had fouled Demont in the 61st.
But Eduardo, unmarked inside the area, headed in a free kick from Sebastien Roudet to steer Lens away from the relegation zone with 18 points.
Marseille has 22 points and a game in hand.

France international Loic Remy, Nice's top scorer with seven goals this season, injured his leg and was replaced in the 20th.
In Toulouse, Mohamed Fofana headed in a free kick from Etienne Didot in the 27th.
