SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The San Jose Sharks re-signed restricted free-agent forward Ryane Clowe to a four-year contract Monday, locking up a player for the immediate future who's coming off a career season.
Clowe, 26, recorded career bests of 22 goals, 30 assists and 52 points this season and led the Sharks during their first-round playoff loss to the Anaheim Ducks. A Sharks' sixth-round draft pick in 2001, he missed most of the 2007-08 campaign with a knee injury.
In four seasons with San Jose, Clowe has 96 points with 41 goals and 55 assists in 162 career games.
