Fantasy Analysis
Niemi has been playing great hockey this season, but hasn't been able to unseat Cristobal Huet just yet. There is an opening there though, as Huet has been getting shelled lately while Niemi's 1.93 GAA leads the league. With Chicago's second and third game in Fantasy Week 19 (Feb. 8-14) coming on back-to-back days, there's a good chance Niemi will get at least two starts in the scoring period. Combined with his solid form, that could be enough for you to use him as a sleeper No. 2 Fantasy goalie in deeper leagues. Huet should probably be avoided this week, while the Blackhawks TG remains a must-start option.
