Boychuk out until after break: The Boston Herald reports the Bruins announced Sunday that D Johnny Boychuk suffered a broken orbital bone when he was struck in the face by a slap shot on Saturday against the Canucks. "There's no displacement, so no surgery required," coach Claude Julien said. "His eye is fine and it's been checked. It's basically an injury that would keep him out for seven to 10 days, so we won't see him until after the Olympic break."

Boychuk was lucky not to suffer severe damage. "Very lucky," Julien said. "Our doctors were saying a quarter of inch the other way could have made it much, much worse. Obviously, with that shot, you’ve got to consider yourself lucky." Boychuk has two goals and nine points in 31 games. He is a promising young player, but he has more long-term Fantasy keeper appeal.
