Jokinen has first points with NYR: Rangers C Olli Jokinen scored a goal and tallied an assist on Thursday against the Capitals for his first points since joining New York. Jokinen, in his second game since being acquired from Calgary on Monday, scored his 12th of the season and first with the Rangers to make it 3-3 at 12:19 of the second period. It was a power-play score.

Fantasy Analysis

The Rangers are expecting a lot of multi-point efforts from Jokinen down the stretch as New York tries to clinch a playoff berth. We haven't seen much of a steady offensive game from Jokinen in 2009-10, but perhaps a change of scenery will benefit him. Don't forget he still has his next contract to play for.

The New York Rangers acquired Jokinen and Brandon Prust from the Calgary Flames for forwards Christopher Higgins and Ales Kotalik late Monday night.

Jokinen, who along with Prust was in the Calgary lineup against Philadelphia, has 11 goals and 24 assists in 56 games this season. ``Definitely, it's a slap in the face to get traded,'' Jokinen said. ``It was a long day. We heard everything (Sunday) night, I was kind of surprised. I wasn't expecting to get moved, but it's part of the business and I've got to move on.''
