SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Former St. Louis Rams coach Scott Linehan is interviewing with 49ers coach Mike Singletary for a job as San Francisco's offensive coordinator.
Linehan was fired by the Rams midway through this season after going 11-25, but the veteran coach has a history of success in building NFL offenses in Minnesota and Miami.
San Francisco also interviewed Indianapolis receivers coach Clyde Christensen earlier Friday. Christensen was Tampa Bay's offensive coordinator before spending the last seven seasons with the Colts.
Singletary fired Mike Martz late last month after San Francisco (7-9) finished its sixth consecutive losing season. The Niners are looking for their seventh offensive coordinator in seven seasons.
