CHARLOTTESVILLE -- Lyndra Littles scored a career-high 33 points to lead No. 16 Virginia to a 68-52 victory over Louisiana Tech in the championship game of the Cavalier Classic on Monday night.

It was the fifth consecutive title for the Cavaliers (11-2) and 20th in 23 years of the tournament.

Leading 15-14, Virginia used a 13-2 run over the next five minutes to take control of the game. The Cavaliers led 35-20 at the half and Louisiana Tech could only close to within 11 in the second half.

Adrienne Johnson led Tech (7-6) with 12 points. Leading scorer Shanavia Dowdell was plagued by foul trouble and finished with 11.

In the consolation game, UMBC beat Rider 76-55.
