This Stephen Jackson thing just isn't going away.

On the surface, the Golden State swingman doesn't appear to be the kind of player the Cavaliers would want.

After getting a lucrative contract with the Warriors, he informed the team he wanted to be traded and was fined $25,000 by the NBA.

He has some baggage, he's temperamental and has been a high-volume chucker for much of his career. The 31-year-old has averaged 15 points and shot 42 percent in his 10-year career.

It would be a high risk to include center Zydrunas Ilgauskas in any such deal. Even though he's slumping right now, he's an insurance policy against Shaquille O'Neal getting injured.

If he's not going to be included in any deal -- at least now -- would the Cavs part with troubled guard Delonte West? Probably.

The Cavs possibly could send West, forward/center Darnell Jackson and swingman Wally Szczerbiak (sign-and-trade) to the Warriors for the 6-foot-8, 215-pound Jackson.

Jackson has a troubled past, but Cavs general manager Danny Ferry and coach Mike Brown know him well from their 2002-03 championship season in San Antonio.

Would the Warriors want to trade one problem for the other in West? The Cavs have to be getting fed up with West's shenanigans. He was inactive for the past three games for an "internal matter."

There's too much on the line this season for it to be demolished by a backup point guard.

CAVALIERS 107, JAZZ 103: LeBron James closed out the Cavaliers' fourth consecutive victory, as Cleveland edged Utah at Quicken Loans Arena.

"Any time the game is close and I feel we have an opportunity to win, I hit the switch and say, 'It's time to get going and lead this team,'" James said. "That's what I'm here for.

"I'm not afraid of the moment. That's what I live for. I've been in this moment many, many times. I'm not always going to be successful, but I am up for the challenge."

James scored the last eight points for the Cavs (7-3), who have won seven of their past eight games. He finished with a team-high 21 points, nine assists and six rebounds.

Forward J.J. Hickson had a career-high 20 points. He now has 38 points in the past two games. The Cavs are 4-0 since they moved Hickson into the starting lineup.

"Teams are not respecting J.J.'s ability right now," James said. "He had an unbelievable game."

Hey Cav fans, I just wanted to ask for your opinion on Brown.

What do you think of him at this point? It seemed to me that I remember him getting Heat in previous years from fans who thought he was not good enough to take Cleveland to the Championship.

Do you feel he is doing a good job now or do you feel the team is w

I found this on Cleveland.com and thought it was pretty interesting. Why does the media ride some so hard but give a free pass to others for the same stuff?

Will the Indianapolis Colts' Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne receive the same ridicule that

With the news yesterday the Delonte West's hearing was pushed back to April 26th, that brings up a potential problem. We lose Delonte mid playoffs. If he in deed gets suspended right away, any continuity the team had to that point is gone. We wouldn't have time to figure someone else into the lineup for him...and if we wanted to ...(more)

So Lebron goes for 24 straight points against the lowly Knicks and that is ok with Cav fans?

I'm just saying that when Kobe does that, we end up with a ton of posts on our thread from Cav fans about how selfish Kobe is or how he does this to pad his stats against garbage teams.

Great players such as Kobe, Lebr

I think general manager and owner did a fanstatic job to keep LeBron James happy to continue to play for Cleveland this year.

However, lebron James has his last year of contract this year.  If he guides his team to NBA Championship, then Cleveland has a better chance to keep him for longer.

Seems these two are always on this board talking how great the Lakers are and how terrible the Cavs are, just curious how others felt. I think the Cavs are a good matchup with L.A.

For as well as lebron played last year, hes noticeably better this year which is amazing. He doesnt have Mo Williams of Delonte with him right now, and instead of shooting way more and trying to score a million points, hes averaging like 11 assists w/o them. In tonights game he scored 22 points on only 14 shots, and dropped 15 ...(more)

Seems like Shaq is the difference maker for the Cavs, especially against the Lakers. In the 2 games, he's completely dominated Bynum, which has paved the way for, 7 foot 8 Learchgouskas  to guard Gasol and throw his game off offensively. Add Varejo and Lebronze to the mix, and the Cavs front line is now outplaying the Lakers front line ...(more)

Mo Williams is out 4-6 weeks. And this is not about talking trash Mo Williams, him out leaves a huge Off. hole in the team. What i'm talking about is what its going to force Ferry to do, and that is make a trade. By no means did i want Mo to get injury for this to come into fruition, but you got to admit that actions speaks loude ...(more)

There offense in the final 5 minutes of a close game is STILL terrible. LeBron on 5 can almost always beat bad teams who happen to remain close in the 4th quarter and can beat elite teams as last night showed, but in a 7 game series against an elite team when most of the games will be decided in the final minutes, I am very worried about the Cavs offensively. IMO, this is the only ...(more)

OK Lakers will payback the Cavs for the loss at Staples. Good for Cleveland spliting the series this season.

LAKERS 101-95  Could be a blowout if KOBE comes out of his slump
