Redd tears both ACL and MCL: Milwaukee Bucks starting guard Michael Redd is out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Fantasy Analysis

This is the same injury Redd suffered last season and makes it very possibly his career could be over -- at least his career as a high-end NBA player. Fantasy owners in seasonal formats can let him go and his prospects in keeper leagues aren't very high at the moment either. In his absence, expect Luke Ridnour's Fantasy appeal to see a boost.

G Michael Redd doesn't have any intentions of calling it a career. A report circulated last week that Redd, who tore his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments for the second time in the last two seasons, might retire. But Redd never even broached that possibility and neither did his agent, Kevin Poston, nor any Bucks officials. In fact, Redd is bound and determined to come back and be a key player next season for the Bucks. Once the swelling in his knee subsides, he is expected to have surgery. If everything goes accordingly, that should be within two weeks. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Brian Cole of Oak Park, Ill. Cole also operated on Redd's knee last year. 12/3/2010
