Boston comes to terms with Papelbon: The Red Sox agreed to a one-year deal with closer Jonathan Papelbon on Wednesday, avoiding arbitration. They also avoided arbitration with RP Manny Delcarmen, signing him to a one-year deal.

Even if he didn't pitch for one of the best teams in baseball, Papelbon would be one of the elite closers in Fantasy, posting an ERA below 2.00 in two of the last three seasons. Delcarmen is erratic as a middle reliever, but he'll have some appeal in AL-only leagues if he can rebound from the 4.53 ERA he posted last year.
