Florida signs SP Sanchez: Florida signed SP Anibal Sanchez on Monday for $1.25 million. Sanchez, who pitched a no-hitter against Arizona as a rookie in September 2006, was 4-8 with a 3.87 ERA in 16 starts last year. He was sidelined from May 8 to June 1 with a sprained right shoulder, made one appearances and then went back on the DL until Aug. 20 with the same injury.
