Rays excited to get Rodriguez: From The Sports Xchange: Sean Rodriguez was announced as the player to be named in the Scott Kazmir trade, and the Rays were happy to get the versatile fielder and powerful hitter. "He's very exciting," manager Joe Maddon said. "He's the kind of guy that if you can just ... give him a bunch of at-bats, I think what he's done in the minor leagues, he'll be something very similar in the major leagues, offensively." In 103 games for Triple-A Salt Lake this season, Rodriguez hit .299 with 29 homers and 93 RBI.
