Padres line up their outfield: Padres GM Jed Hoyer said Scott Hairston can platoon both with center fielder Tony Gwynn Jr. and right fielder Will Venable. Powerful Kyle Blanks could be a candidate to start in left, converting from first base, while Aaron Cunningham, also acquired in the Kevin Kouzmanoff deal, should back up around the outfield.

Cunningham is nothing more than a reserve for the Padres and deeper NL-only leagues on Draft Day.
