Why does it seem that there is a lack of effort and hustle by Tom Pritchard. He has looked loss on both ends of the court. I understand not having offensively some nights, but constantly cherry picking and not hustling back on defense is very disheartening. I know its only the 3rd game and that Ole Miss is a more experience team, but IU's lack of hustle on defense is going to cost them alot of games this year.

Lack of Effort? I am not sure if thats the case or if its just simply a lack a solid talent. I think Pritchard is a decent player but not a great one. Im not sure he will be even when hes a senior. I think of him and some of you may disagree with me but someone like a Jared Odle from a few years back. He is a just a role player with a below average shot and is slower on defense. Odle was a pretty solid player off the bench at IU and I think thats the role best suited for Tom, but with our lack of solid post men we have to play him until he fouls out..ha..anyway I think we should just temper our expectations for Tom and just hope that Crean continues to develop him into a solid player.

I agree with 5NCAAIU. I dont think Pritchard is a very talented player, but due to the lack of talent in the front court he's forced to be starter even though he's a guy who would come off the bench on the majority of the teams in the NCAA. Also I think the presence of Elston make Pritchard look like the player that he really is, that's why it doesn't look like he's putting out the effort. I'm not saying he doesn't do a good job while he's in there, but he's not really Big Ten starter material

When it comes to lack of effort I don't think that is him. In my opinion he has always been extremely slow at getting back because well he is slow.  He also always seems so ancy with the ball out there like isn't sure what to do.  Also something that is giving him problems is that he isn't playing his natural position which is PF.  If we could get Jobe or even the likes of Muniru to fit in the Center position then Pritchard could play his normal position and possibly come off the bench instead.  It will take pretty much the entire Non-Conference schedule for Coach Crean to come up with the starting lineup he wants on a consistent basis.  Even then he still may not have it because he has so much young talent and it is difficult to make sure you place the right guys in the game at the same time. Either way this year is going to be very interesting and quite like last year in the sense of just sitting back and being patient with this team.  They need to limit the turnovers and god for bid making Free Throws would be nice as well.  I have never in my life seen a team shoot so poorly from the foul line.  Tonight will be another good test for our Hoosiers as they play Boston University.  Grant it Boston is 0-3 but they have played their competition well.  Iona (2-0), George Washington (2-0) and Kansas State (3-0).  So hopefully we can limit some of the careless mistakes from last night, play hard for 40 minutes and come out with a win tonight.  GO HOOSIERS

yes I see a lack of effort or well tallent in certin positons but it a damn sight better than what they had last year I mean River,Creek,and Watford are good and I am sure after a few games coach Crean will have these Kids playing well. I know it will take time for the Program to get back to the way it used to be but I am happy with the total Effort even after losing to Boston U but oh well the Bucket Game is tomarrow and I am looking for a win  GO HOOSIERS BEAT PURDUE!!!!!!!!!
