Possible Replacements For Coach Urban MeyerI wonder if Coach Urban Meyer is leaving because he knows there will be more stress. Tim Tebow is leaving for the NFL and the rebuilding begins.Possible replacements for Coach Urban Meyer are....Bob Stoops, Kyle Wittingham, Dan Mullen, Steve Spurrier, Charlie Strong, and Tim Tebow.

Tiger WoodsI think it's funny all the media attention Tiger Woods is getting. He's the most arrogant person and he's getting what he deserves.

The "U" Miami HurricanesI watched the documentary of the Miami Hurricanes on ESPN. I remember I hated the Miami Hurricanes. Back then there was a HUGE lack of discipline. I can see now how Jimmy Johnson found success in the NFL because he seems to lack control over the discipline of players. He has a way to allow the players to be undiscipline but win games in a classless manner.
I think today the Miami Hurricanes have done a great job cleaning up their program. Coach Randy Shannon has done a good job so far with the football program. At the beginning of the season I thought the Hurricanes would not be able to go to a bowl game because of their difficult schedule. I was thinking whoever made that schedule is crazy. They shot themselves in the foot. It actually helped them get exposure and be on t.v. I'm sure now they're getting some good recruits in. There's no way the old Miami Hurricanes would get away with the things they've done in the past. If Lane Kiffin was over the Miami Hurricanes program right now he'd say the documentary is a compliment.

Mark Ingram The ManLast year you could see that Mark Ingram was going to be a great running back just like this year you can see one day Trent Richardson will be a great running back.Mark Ingram is well deserved to be not only Alabama's first Heisman winner but Nick Saban's as well. It was the first time I've seen Coach Saban have watery eyes. Mark Ingram shows a lot of class. Always thanking his team mates and coaches. He broke Alabama's single-season record for rushing yards in a season. Mark Ingram could have had more yards than that but that's not Alabama's style. You won't find Alabama trying to run the score up just to give a player more stats. He had a combined 29 carries in routs of Florida International, North Texas, and Chattanooga. Mark Ingram single-handedly carried the Tide to victories against Ole Miss and South Carolina. In the Florida game he had 189 total yards and three touchdowns against the nation's best defense. The stats that sound out the most about Mark Ingram is his yards after contact and he's only fumbled the ball once.

College Football Needs A Rule....I think college football needs a rule that you can only fire your head coach until after the bowl game unless there's a big reason to fire the coach. That would eliminate all the distractions that's created when a coach is fired and another team is trying to focus on their current season. I think it's unfair to Brian Kelly and Cincinnati.

Georgia (Mark Richt)I don't understand why so many Georgia fans want Mark Richt gone. The power of the SEC East is about to change... Last year Georgia lost a lot of players and a couple of them were leaders of the team. You kinda have to expect this to be Georgia's rebuilding year. This is Tim Tebow's last year for the Florida Gators. The next two years Florida will be going through a rebuilding year. That leaves the door open for South Carolina, Georgia, or Tennessee to step up and grab the SEC East. If Georgia fires or makes major moves that will set their program back another three years. Instead I think everyone should be standing behind their coaches so they don't lose any recruits.

Bama vs Florida (I AINT Scared Nor Should You Be)Alabama loses to Florida last year in the SEC Championship game... it helped give this young Tide team experience and wanting a rematch. This has been their biggest goal since losing to Florida last year is to make it back to Atlanta and so far they've achieved their goal. All they need now is a win. They've tasted this moment on their lips all season long. Alabama wants it... wants it bad...
Alabama barely beating Auburn Tigers... That was a wakeup game. Perhaps Alabama was over looking Florida Gators. They had one less day to prepare for the game and it was the day after Thanksgiving. There was a lot of distractions. Alabama did a great job overcoming everything and coming away with a win. Their offense is complicated... takes some time to plan against... hostile environment from the remaining fans that didn't sell their tickets. Florida vs Florida St game does not scare me... The big win against Florida State and Alabama barely beating Auburn will play a big distraction to the Florida Gators. Georgia beats Georgia Tech... South Carolina beats Clemson.. That shows the SEC is strong. Nick Saban will have his team prepared... The Crimson Tide will be ready... this is the moment they've been waiting for... this will be their MOMENT to dethrone Gators. "I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord... And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord... can you feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord, Oh Lord....well if you told me you were drowning I would not lend a hand... I've seen your face before my friend, but I don't know if you know who I am... well I was there and I saw what you did.. I saw it with my own two eyes... so you can wipe off that grin... I know where you've been... it's all been a pack of lies... and I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh lord.... well I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, Oh Lord... I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord... Well I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, Oh Lord, Oh Lord..."

LSU Les Miles Dumb-FoundedI was watching the LSU game yesterday. There was about 29 seconds left to call timeout. I was wondering what is taking Les Miles so long to call timeout. He waited until there was about 9 seconds left. Then tried to spike the ball with 1 second left after giving the quarterback the play to run. If they had called a timeout sooner they'd been able to spike the ball and stop the clock with a couple more seconds on the block. The players did everything they could do to win the game. The only problem their bone headed coach's luck finally ran out.No disrespect toward LSU or their head coach Les Miles. I wasn't rooting against him. I'm just saying it like it was. The coach made a bone headed decision.

College Football Teams Opening UpThe college football season is about to end and the firing is about to start. I don't think there will be many major chances in coaching jobs besides the following teams.
Virginia Michigan Illinois Notre Dame Louisville The teams above could affect other teams. Depends on if a coach from a smaller school gets one of those jobs then that team seeks a head coach. I think it's possible for Urban Meyer to leave for Notre Dame. It depends on the talent level at Florida after Tim Tebow leaves and if he can land a major prospect to turn Notre Dame around very quickly.

NCAAIt's obvious.. it is what it is....
textbooks... not textbooks for profits... NCAA= Government above the U.S. NCAA= Dictates who you can and can't talk to... who you can and can't associate with.... Deon Sanders= IF NCAA catches you even talking to him then your team better suspend their player or your team faces suspension... Go play football for the NCAA and you lose your freedoms.... Better not take that offer from your best friend to a free concert.. then the NCAA will step in and accuse that friend of being a fan of you and your football team.. and the NCAA will say you took benefits.. then you and your team will be on probation... Welcome to the wonderful NCAA!! Where politics dictate who wins the National Championship.. where every team is NOT equal.. and every team is determined by what conference they're in... So the NCAA tells you UTAH... why have a football team if you're not in a major conference? Undefeated might be your best but according to the NCAA sometimes your BEST is not good enough!!! NCAA PlayoffI'm tired of the polls. Polls are not only distractions but it's stupid politics and debates that end up with the National Champion in college football. Last year Utah deserved a shot at the title.
I don't understand how Oregon can beat Cal 42-3 but Oregon remains ranked higher than Cal. I don't understand how Iowa can beat Penn State but Penn State be ranked higher than Iowa. How Washington beat USC but USC is ranked higher. I'm a huge Alabama football fan. I'm not worried about where they're ranked. If they're number 1, 2, or 3. If they win out they should be in the National Champions.... BUT AT THE SAMETIME IT SHOULD BE THAT WAY FOR EVERY COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM. It's not fair.. it's discimination... every team should have the opportunity to play for the championship. No undefeated team should be left behind. There should be a playoff system that if you win your conference then you're in the playoff at the end of the year... then keep playing until there's one champion. I'm tired of teams like Utah State and others getting left out every year and wondering if they could have been the cinderalla team. That's why there needs to be a playoff. That's the only fair way to determine which team is the true champion. Another thing the NCAA has done is what I call the crying wolf... If you look at Ohio State's record as in losing the championship and/or losing to the SEC.... I think that's unfair and another reason that college football should have a playoff system. For example right now the SEC is supposely the best conference and ESPN has a contract with them. Therefore the SEC will get all the USC treatment. I'm a HUGE Alabama fan... and I love the SEC but I'm also a fan of college football. I want it to be fair and equal for every team and conference out there... Who's to say one day a team will lose a couple big games then they'll be undefeated but because of their past they won't get a chance to play for the championship because there's two other undefeated teams? And what if that team actually is better and could have won it... Sorry I just don't think it's right or fair to not have a playoff system. Every team deserves a chance to be champions. Why have the game?

LSUNobody is saying anything about LSU and it has me a little worried. I know LSU hasn't been tested yet unless you count Washington. Sometimes I get so annoyed by the media and their input. I keep wanting to tell everyone the season is still early and there's so many unanswered questions. Here's an example... we still don't know how good Washington is. The media is talking about USC getting beat by Washington and how Washington is unranked. Who's to say Washington might be a top 25 team as the season goes on. Who's to say LSU might be the best team in the SEC? And Washington might be better than USC and LSU better than both teams. I don't understand how some folks out there would rank USC ahead of Washington after Washington beat USC. Washington only loss is to LSU and LSU should be ahead of both teams.
I think what might hurt LSU's season is their favorable schedule.

Jimbo FisherI don't understand how it's helpful to have a coach in waiting. I actually think it's a bad idea and causes more problems than help a program out.
For example... Jimbo Fisher at Florida State. Jimbo will take control of the Florida State program by 2011 or they'll owe him $5 million dollars. Behind the scenes it could be a mess. Right now Bobby Bowden is the head coach but who knows what's really going on. DOes Jimbo Fisher have a power trip with Bobby Bowden? Does Jimbo Fisher have a bigger role in who gets recruited and trying to bring players in that fit his style of football and philosophies? I don't agree with a coach naming another coach in years ahead of time to be the next head coach. I think it messes with the chemistry of the team and causes more problems than good. Football coaches are a lot like the stock market. For example when Jimbo Fisher was at LSU his stocks were high. Over the years with Florida State's football program struggling Jimbo Fisher's stocks have fallen and there are coaches out there with bigger stocks than Jimbo Fisher. An example is Bud Foster. I think Virginia Tech's defensive coordinator Bud Foster would make a better head coach than Jimbo Fisher and I think his stocks are higher than Jimbo Fisher's. But after this season who's to say Bud Foster's stocks won't fall?

Michael VickMichael Vick has done his time and I think he deserves another shot at the NFL. I don't agree with the things that he's done and I think his punishment should have been different however the guy legally has served the time he was sentenced to serve.
After the mess Ray Lewis got into he did not get suspended or anything but had to pay a league record fine of $250,000. I think they should use that towards Michael Vick. Let the guy pay a huge fine and put him back on the field so the fans can deal with him. He can then get booed and protesters will protest the games.. etc. It will be a huge mess. I personally don't like the guy. He knew he had a STD yet he still infected someone with it and the owner still stood by him... then he flipped off his OWN fans in front of kids and everyone.. The guy deserves everything he's gotten in return from his own stupid actions. I don't feel sorry for the guy. I think it would be worse for him to go play football and he'll pay even more by dealing with team mates and the fans.

The Alabama GangBeing from Alabama I wish there were more Nascar drivers from Alabama. I think the talent is there but the lack of a big short-track program is holding young talented drivers back. Plus Nascar has become to expensive for someone to work their way up in the ranks with no money. These million dollar sponsors only want drivers who won previous championships. They don't want to sponsor a rookie.
Back in the day Bobby Allison, Donnie Allison, and Red Farmer set up shop in Hueytown, Alabama. Alabama was on the map competing against Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, etc. Ever since Clifford, Davey, and Neil Bonnet the Alabama Gang has not been the same. Perhaps Donnie Allison's Grand-Son Justin Allison will some day revive the Alabama Gang. He's only 16 so it will be a couple more years. The Alabama Gang has many years before a driver from Alabama joins the ranks of the Sprint Series. But the Earnhardt fanbase is a step closer. Jeffrey Earnhardt the grandson of Dale Earnhardt and son of Kerry Earnhardt will race limited Nationwide Series races to get ready for a full time schedule in 2010. |
