Disgusting Party at Nebraska -- Update

The University of Nebraska has asked the poster of an item on Facebook to remove the entry.

The item was a party invitation and it appears below. It was tasteless and crude. Referring to a woman as a "hoe" is never a good thing.

More importantly, a number of Nebraska football players had accepted invitations to the party.

The Nebraska athletic department was not amused after discovering the party invite and asked whoever put it up to take it down.

It's gone.

Good for Nebraska.

Tolerating that kind of attitude towards women is unacceptable. That's the kind of attitude that produced such Nebraska class acts as Christian Peter and Lawrence Phillips.

Nice to see this version of the Nebraska athletic department understands that.

Using facebook as a "source" to report a damaging story, without getting hard facts, is careless and classless. You might as well start reporting Wikipedia as fact. The University addressed the issue, and it was found that no-one tied to the football team was involved. Get the facts straight. If these parties were such failures or if women thought the term demeaning then they shouldn't attend. But trying to draw a line in the sand over the term ho when using it to speak of women, well that ship has left port quite some time ago. [ Reply to Comment ]

I can remember back to college days and having insane parties that I certainly would not throw now. I don't know how much you make, but if this is the sort of behaviour CBS looks for in its writers and they're cool with that level of writing "quality", I could do what you do better for less.
