Temple isn't starting Friday's game against the Heat. Temple will return to a bench role after drawing a spot start Wednesday against the Nets. He logged only nine minutes in his last appearance as a reserve April 7 against the Wizards.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' Garrett Temple: Nabs another start
Temple will start Wednesday's game against the Nets, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Temple will make his second start of the campaign Wednesday, capitalizing on the absences of three usual starters. In his last stint with the first unit, Temple saw 34 minutes but managed only seven points, two boards and a block.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Back to bench
Temple will return to a reserve role in Friday's tilt against the Bucks. Temple is coming off a rare spot-start but will return to his usual reserve role in Milwaukee. The veteran has averaged 2.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists across 8.1 minutes in 22 games off the bench this year.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Making first start since 2021-22
Temple will enter the starting lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Timberwolves, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Temple will make his first start in a little over two years. He'll benefit from a slew of Raptors injuries, with the team having only eight available players for Wednesday's tilt. During his last five appearances, Temple is averaging 5.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Chips in 15 off bench Wednesday
Temple totaled 15 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 145-101 loss to the Knicks. The 37-year-old wing has seen a significant role in the Raptors' injury-ravaged rotation over the last week, and Temple's 15 points and six boards were both season highs. With RJ Barrett (conditioning) and Immanuel Quickley (conditioning) both about to rejoin the lineup, Temple will likely be the first player bumped to the end of the bench for the rebuilding team.... Raptors' Garrett Temple: Sees garbage-time run
Temple played the final 3:44 of Sunday's 133-118 win over the Warriors, finishing with two points (1-1 FG) and one turnover. Temple missed the Raptors' final three games of December due to an ankle sprain, but he's been active for each of Toronto's first four contests of the new year. Sunday's contest marked the first time he saw any game action, however, with Temple checking into the game in garbage time while Toronto held a 20-point lead. Barring a slew of injuries to the team's guards and wings, the 37-year-old will remain outside of Toronto's rotation all season, though he'll serve as a valuable veteran mentor for the younger players on the roster.... Raptors' Garrett Temple: Upgraded to questionable
Temple (ankle) has been upgraded to questionable for Monday's game versus the Cavaliers. Temple was initially doubtful for Monday, but the veteran is trending in the right direction. He's typically not in the rotation, however, so his status won't have many fantasy implications.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Unlikely to play Monday
Temple (ankle) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Cavaliers. Temple will likely miss another game due to a right ankle sprain. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Memphis, but it's unclear when he'll be able to suit up again.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Listed as out for Saturday
Temple (ankle) isn't available for Saturday's game against the Pistons. Temple will miss yet another matchup while dealing with a right ankle sprain. His next chance to return will arrive Monday against the Cavaliers.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Officially out
Temple (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Celtics, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. As expected, Temple has been downgraded from doubtful to out. The veteran's continued absence shouldn't impact Toronto's lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Unlikely to play Friday
Temple (ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Celtics, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Temple missed Wednesday's game against the Wizards due to a sprained right ankle and will likely sit once again Friday. His status shouldn't impact the Raptors' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Won't play Wednesday
Temple is out for Wednesday's game versus the Wizards due to a right ankle sprain. Temple's absence shouldn't affect Toronto's rotation. His next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Boston.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Garrett Temple: Heading to Toronto
Temple signed a one-year, $3.2 million contract with the Raptors on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Temple spent the last two seasons in New Orleans and was on the fringes of the Pelicans' rotation for most of the year during the 2022-23 campaign. He averaged just 2.0 points in 6.5 minutes per game over 25 appearances last season and will attempt to bounce back with the Raptors.... See More ... See Less -
Garrett Temple: Waived by New Orleans
Temple was waived by the Pelicans on Wednesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Temple's role significantly decreased during the 2022-23 campaign, as he averaged 2.0 points in 6.5 minutes per game over 25 appearances during his second year with the Pelicans. He had solid playing time earlier in his career but will have to seek out other opportunities ahead of his age-37 season.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Garrett Temple: Takes step back in 13th season
Temple finished his 13th season with averages of 2.0 points, 0.7 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.4 steals in 6.5 minutes per game over 25 contests. Temple faded from the rotation in his second year in New Orleans, typically only seeing the floor in garbage time or when multiple rotation players were battling injuries. The 36-year-old holds more value as a locker-room leader than an on-court contributor at this point in his career. Temple's non-guaranteed $5.4 million salary could make him a candidate to be waived this offseason as the Pelicans look to piece together their roster for next season.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Garrett Temple: Dusts off cobwebs Tuesday
Temple recorded one assist in five minutes during Tuesday's 119-84 win over the Spurs. Temple played five minutes in the victory, just the fifth time he has seen any action in the past two months. At this point in his career, Temple is nothing more than a depth piece for the Pelicans, providing far more value as a locker-room leader than an actual contributor. To put things in perspective, he has a total of 42 points in 21 games played this season. As you were.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Garrett Temple: Off injury report
Temple (personal) is off the injury report for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers. Temple is unlikely to be a significant part of the rotation when available. He's played just 21 minutes this season.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Garrett Temple: Out again Wednesday
Temple (personal) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Chicago. Temple will remain sidelined due to personal matters. He hasn't seen the floor since Oct. 30, but he's totaled just 21 minutes across two appearances this season, so his prolonged absence hasn't impacted the Pelicans' rotation.... See More ... Pelicans' Garrett Temple: Won't play Monday
Temple has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pacers due to personal reasons. Temple hasn't seen much playing time early in the regular season, but he'll be unable to suit up for Monday's matchup. It's unclear when he's expected to return, but his absence shouldn't impact the Pelicans' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Garrett Temple: Makes 2022-23 debut
Temple finished with six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 17 minutes during Friday's 124-111 loss to Phoenix. The 36-year-old was forced to step into a large role Friday with Brandon Ingram (concussion), Herbert Jones (knee), Zion Williamson (hip) and Dyson Daniels (ankle) out, and Temple put together a solid outing. When the Pelicans are healthy, Temple is nothing more than a reserve wing, but for as long as they are battling the injury bug, he may be asked to play filler minutes.... See More ... See Less

Josh Lewenberg@JLew10504D agoWolves were in Toronto on opening night. Raptors held them to 94 pts & won. I came out of that game thinking Minnesota could have some trouble in a loaded Western Conference. Play-in, maybe? Yeah, I'll take the L on that one. Impressive run for a great team, and they're not done.
