Online viewers of NCAA tourney increase by nearly 3 million

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- More people are watching NCAA tournament games online.

CBSSports.com says its free NCAA March Madness on Demand video player had 7.52 million unique visitors this year. That's up 58 percent from the 4.76 million in 2008.

Visitors watched and listened to 8.6 million hours of video and audio, a 75 percent increase.

CBS began offering the service in 2003.
