Northern Iowa has an RPI  of 12, is ranked 18th and 19th in the Coaches poll and the AP poll respectively and yet the Panthers don't even crack Gary Parrish's top 26.
Just another reason why Parrish doesn't hold much credibility with basketball fans.
Note to Parrish: quit your job, go to McDonald's maybe you can do something that you are good at there.

Sparty, if you're out there, I apologize. You know your team better than I do.  Last week we all jumped on you when you said Michigan State could lose half it's remaining games without Lucas.  We all saw Saturday night what you were predicting.

It won't be that bad because Lucas won't be out that long, but that doesn't erase your point.  You were even more right about Lu

As a rabid Badger fan, this only mildly surprises me. They've beaten plenty of good/great teams (depending on your perspective) - including Michigan State and part of Purdue (he was injured in this game and only scored 2 points) - without leading scorer Jon Leuer. So their 18-5 record is even more impressive, I'd say. At this rate, though, they could end up in Parrish's top 5 because of their s ...(more)

Gary gives some pretty good stats on Demarcus Cousins which leads me to my question...

We all know John Wall is going to be the Top pick in the NBA Draft but is Demarcus Cousins more valuable than Wall on this years Kentucky team?? I think he is because with his size he is more capable of dominating a game than Wall is...

I know we all love to beat up on the Ivy League but Cornell has a case to be in the top 25. They are 18-3 which is better than a bunch of your top 25 teams. That aside they do have an Ivy league schedule which is hardly anything special though Harvard is supposed to start being a contender with the performances of Tony Amaker and Jeremy Lin but Cornell just handed them their largest defeat this se ...(more)

Can the Gators get just a little love?  I'm not saying Top 25, but NO votes?  Really?  Their best player was exausted and couldn't make a shot (Walker),  Werner still can't throw it in the ocean and Boynton is hit or miss.  Guess what?  Still winning.  The Michigan State win was not a dream.  The Gators play D and the press is solid.  This team reminds ...(more)

How can you sit there and say they havent beaten anybody?  You obviously need to do your research before you post these things.   Let me just remind you that Duke KILLED Gonzaga who is ranked #8 in the country.  They didnt just beat them they KILLED them by 35 points.  Oh and not to mention they also KILLED UConn.  They also beat Clemson who is a very good team and ...(more)

I really think that Purdue is the best overall team in the Big Ten, talent-wise.  Outsiders really knock the Big Ten, but it is a brutal conference, and in the end I think there will be plenty of believers.

Robbie Hummel has reached double-figures in scoring in 19 consecutive games. That's a nice stat, but what about some love for E'Twaun Moore who has done the same for 22 consecutive games?  His contributions always seem to get overlooked yet he's th ...(more)

I love that Parrish has Purdue ranked ahead of West Virginia. AP and Coaches polls both have WV ahead of the Boilers.  Why?  Big East love?  Purdue is one of two teams with at least 4 wins over Top 25 RPI teams.  By the way, Purdue smoked WV head to head.  SMOKED! Up 27 with 5 minutes remaining.  Not even close.

I realize Siena is a traditional small school power but what do they have to do to get some big school recognition?  They are 20-4 with all 4 losses on the road of which 3 came to teams in the top 25.  They have won 14 straight and have a roster filled with players that have NCAA tournament experience.  This is the same team that has gone to the second round of the tourney 2 ye ...(more)

Being a Purdue fan, obviously I've been upset that you didn't believe we were and "elite" team.  Whatever.  It is what it is.  While I believe you think you're shooting it straight.  Which is why I'm so surprised with your addition of the Boilers to the top 6.

My question to that is.......Is it the addition this week of our true point guard, Lewis Jackson,

The game at KState was everything college basketball stands for!!! Collins is hands down the best clutch player in basketball so far this year..Nova and Cuse can play with anybody in the country..New Mexico #15??? Baylor at #13 was the one thing that really jumped out at me.  A win at Texas is impressive, but the way the Longhorns have been playing lately I don't know if this victory was enough to justify Baylor's jump from not being ranked to #13. The Bears also had a loss this week at home to Kansas State.

Oh well, I'll guess we'll see where all these teams stand when the
